Next week sees the return of our in-person NMC CBT 4-Day course where we cover all of the topics from the NMC CBT. Studying from 9am - 5pm, our nurses will cover all of the essential topics from the NMC's first test of competence in whichever mode of study suits you the most.
What are the best ways to study for the NMC CBT exam?
In-person Central London NMC CBT Course and Mock Exam
The NMC CBT 4-Day Course includes the full theory and refresher of the key areas of study of the NMC CBT examination, advice from previous test takers and a full mock examination during the morning of day 4, with a review of the results in the afternoon. All candidates will receive a copy of all materials and a copy of the book and complete guide that contains access to an additional mock examination.
On day 1, we’ll cover an overview of the NMC CBT examination and the critical CBT topics as well as topics from the ward and medications management. On day 2, we’ll cover drug calculations, blood transfusions, nutrition, infection prevention and control. Day 3 includes the theory on interpreting diagnostic tests, professional values, law and ethics and communication and interpersonal skills. Finally on day 4, we’ll go through a full NMC CBT mock exam delivered like the real thing as well as a debrief on any areas of weakness your results have highlighted.
