London Waterloo Station
London Waterloo is one of the major London railway stations, built in 1848. As of March 2022, it was the busiest train station in the UK, having handled 41 million passengers in that year. It is also the largest UK train station in terms of floorspace and number of platforms, with 24 in total.
At IELTS Medical we understand that the majority of our learners are not from the UK and many come from towns/ cities outside of London. We understand that this can cause stress if you’re unfamiliar with the London transport network. This blog is intended to reduce stress during your travels to attend training with IELTS Medical at our Paddington, Central London training centre.
London Waterloo regularly has arrivals from Exeter, Surrey, Sussex and the south of England. Commuters from these areas frequently rely on rail services into Waterloo to attend work in the City of London, travelling in huge numbers.
If you’re one of our learners and are located outside of London, its likely your best option may be travelling to attend your course by train. If you live in or around Bournemouth, Guildford, Portsmouth, Southampton, Windsor or Woking, you will likely arrive in London at Waterloo Station.
We understand that if you’re unfamiliar with London in terms of travelling and the layout of the city, arriving at the busiest UK railway station can understandably be stressful. Stress can come from not knowing which underground train to get on to reach our training centre. At IELTS Medical we want to reduce confusion for our learners traveling to our centre.
To get to IELTS Medicals training centre from London Waterloo, you will need to use the London Underground. These are the steps:
- Waterloo Station.
