I understand for many people it is quite hard to find the funds to move to the UK, however you shouldn’t let that ruin your dreams of becoming a Nurse or Midwife here in the UK. There are many ways in which you are able to prepare for your exams at home for free. On our YouTube channel (IELTS Medical UK) you will be able to find many videos that will help you study at home. If you go to the playlists section you will be able to find several playlists, our most recent playlist is called ‘Mastering IELTS with Jo’ in this playlist you will find four videos, each less than 60 seconds long. The videos explain a few tips on how to pass you IELTS exam while keeping it short and simple.
We also have another playlist which will help you prepare for your IELTS exam. This playlist is called ‘IELTS Academic’ and includes 27 videos that can help you reach the top results for your IELTS exam, it also explains all the four skills individually and what is needed to be done in order to achieve a high band and provides samples a band 8.0-9.0 speaking test. There is also a video on what the common mistakes are made by nurses and midwives in their IELTS speaking exam, this teaches you what you should not do as well as what you should be doing.
Not doing the IELTS exam, instead doing the OET? Don’t worry we also have a playlist on preparing for your OET exam. This playlist includes 48 videos and explains what the OET exam is and provides many sample tests for listening with different scenarios for example, nurse briefing a colleague about a patient and Nursing event. It also includes a video on OET speaking for nurses which gives a short introduction to the OET speaking test.
