Train strikes in September
20,000 railway workers represented by the RMT union are due to strike in September, with the long running dispute over pay and working conditions continuing.
Are you an overseas qualified healthcare professional who is looking to join us at IELTS Medical and train to become licensed to practise in the UK?
If so, reading this blog will make you aware of the upcoming strike action on the UK rail network. New posts regarding this ongoing situation are posted to this blog whenever updates are available.
The first strike action in this particular dispute occurred on 21st June 2022, meaning it has been more than one year of disruption for commuters who use the UK railways with no end in sight. At IELTS Medical we want to reduce disruption for our learners as they attempt to travel into London for training.
Saturday 2nd September is the only confirmed strike date in this coming month, but more could be announced. If this should happen, we will make our learners aware on this blog and the IELTS Medical social media platforms.
On September 2nd buses and London Underground services will be running as normal, travelling around London will not be affected but services may be more busy than usual so allow time for that.
