1. Are Exam Centres for OSCE open during lockdown?
Exam Centres are open! There are a number of national lockdown restrictions across the UK, however Oxford Brookes University, Ulster University and Northampton University are open for OSCE exams.
2. How long is the OSCE Exam?
The OSCE exam varies however it usually comprises a circuit of short (the usual is 5–10 minutes although some use up to 15 minute) stations, in which each candidate is examined on a one-to-one basis with one or two impartial examiner(s).

Everyone is different, this will depend on your revision and your understanding of the subject, on average it takes approximately 15 to 20 hours per week over 3 to 4 months of preparation period, however if you take an intensive OSCE course, you will be able to cut that down to 2 weeks – 1 month.
9. How long is my OSCE valid for?
You will only need to take your exam once! Please make sure to validate your NMC application every year and pay the fee otherwise your application may lapse and you will need to re-take your exam.
