Delivered in person and online, English for Nursing is an immersive package of in person and online courses designed to improve your Medical English and help you develop the confidence to practise in an English speaking environment. You receive one-to-one attention from a native English speaking subject matter expert across 6 weeks. Sessions are tailored to your needs and help you develop in the areas that would help you in your job. That means whether you have specific Medical English language goals or would benefit from having professional discussions with an expert who understands, then this course is right for you.
You can expect ready made lessons covering set criteria aimed to raise your English language level from CEFR B1 or CEFR B2 to CEFR C1 level so that you will be able to understand a wide range of longer English language texts and recognise any implied meaning within them. You will also be able to express yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression, in a UK healthcare environment.
In English for Nursing, the entire course is focused on English in a healthcare environment meaning that you'll spend the whole six weeks only learning what you need to. You'll also receive a precourse book in the post and access to your Learner's Portal - learn.medicsportal.org - which features a range of activities including roleplay exercises with live patients, videos and quizzes to spark your enthusiasm for learning.
English for Nursing is accredited by the CPD and as well as 16 CPD points, you'll also receive a certificate to evidence your learning and a year's access online.
