Continuing rail strikes
The long running dispute between the government and train workers over pay and conditions has now lasted 13 months. Now, with neither side showing signs of backing down further strikes look likely to continue on into August.
As of today (18/07/23) no further strike action for August has been planned, however this may be subject to change.
The general secretary for the RMT and ASLEF unions, Mick Lynch has represented the rail union members with a strong stance since the beginning of the strikes. He stated RMT members are “prepared to continue taking industrial action for as long as it takes”, which suggests further industrial action in the near future is not to be ruled out.
In order to avoid unexpected disruptions to journeys in August please use the links provided for updates in terms of industrial action, as it becomes available.
If you’re traveling to our centre in Paddington, central London on these dates, alternative travel arrangements may need to be made.
