Congratulations Marissa!

As an overseas trained healthcare professional, it must be extremely exciting getting to the point where you are ready to take your exams and begin your career in the UK medical field. All of your hard work and time spent preparing will soon pay off!

There may be a feeling of nervousness though, as the exams you’re about to take are important steps in the process of you to become licensed to practise in the UK.

One of our recent students, Marissa recently passed her IELTS exam, under the tutorage of Anna who is one of our expert educators. We are happy to announce Marissa achieved an overall band 7.5 score, which is a fantastic result and definitely one to be proud of.

Individual marks achieved:

Listening: 8

Reading: 7  

Writing: 6.5

Speaking: 7.5

In Marissa’s account of her experience training with us at IELTS Medical she mentions how she lost a bit of her focus when she thought she didn’t do well at the listening and reading sections of the test, however she regained her composure and pulled through. Its helpful to remain level headed for the duration of your exam, feeling stressed and upset will most likely negatively affect your performance so its key to be positive throughout.
