Arriving in London

Are you an overseas qualified Healthcare Professional who currently lives in a country other than the UK and would like to train to practise in the UK?
Booking training with IELTS Medical puts you in safe hands, our first-time pass rate is at 97% and we can offer top quality training with our expert educators and state of the art training centre.
By training with IELTS Medical in the UK you can receive training from native English speakers which is beneficial to your digestion of the content and asking any questions you have about the material.
If you’re based overseas and want to train in the UK, you may want to allow yourself a couple of days to de stress after your flight and do some sightseeing and activities. Some previous IELTS Medical learners from countries such as Australia, The Philippines and Ghana have chosen to stay in London for a few days before their training in order to get over any jetlag or fatigue from travelling.
By doing this, our learners enable themselves to go into the first day of their training with us in a state of maximum focus. Going sightseeing for a day or two is sure to relax our learners and reduce stress, also allowing them a couple of days to adjust to London life.
Within 10 minutes’ walk of the IELTS Medical training centre is Hyde Park, which is one of London’s most iconic parks. There is much to do here including taking long walks, cycle routes, visiting cafes or even just hiring a deckchair and kicking back and relaxing.
Another nearby attraction near to our training centre is Oxford Street, it is the busiest shopping street in Europe and has a seemingly endless number of shops including Harrods, Selfridges, JD Sports and Zara. If you enjoy retail therapy, this is for you!
There are also many great restaurants in the area surrounding our training centre, a blog was posted covering this earlier this year. It will be linked here.

We hope this blog helps our learners with their considerations of travelling to London a few days before their course begins to acclimatise to the city of London and relax and de stress from the travelling to reach the UK.
