Upcoming PLAB 1 exam dates!
If you’ve passed your English proficiency test lately and has tried to book your PLAB 1 exam, you might have been disappointed that the first 2 upcoming dates for next year – February and May – are already fully booked. Until now, those were the only dates for 2023 and it’s really upsetting for doctors that are ready to take it but can’t for lack of slots. But don’t fret! The GMC has announced that on the 10th of December at 10am GMT they’ll be releasing 2 more dates for 2023 with slots for doctors still wanting to sit their exam next year!
PLAB 1 usually happens 4 times a year on February, May, August and November. The 2 new dates will probably be for August and November, so you have plenty of time to prepare! But remember that slots are limited, specially if you’re outside the UK since the exam has to be taken at an authorized testing centre. The test itself can be done on the computer, but you still need to go to a GMC approved location to undertake the exam. So make sure you book for your nearest test centre as soon as possible after the dates are released so you don’t miss the chance for 2023!
