Types of Adult Nurses in the UK
There are many different types of Adult Nursing roles in the UK. At IELTS Medical, we help European and Overseas Nurses become registered with the NMC as an RN aka Registered Nurse.
Registered Nurses spend four years or two for an accelerated program to get their degree. Everyday duties that an RN performs include attending to and caring for the patients.
Registered nurses are also responsible for handing out medications to the patients. They are the only group of Nurses with permission to handle controlled substances. Often RNs are given the responsibility to head other Nurses and may also manage their work schedules.
A registered nurse in the UK earns an average hourly wage of £22. This however, doesn’t mean that there are limited options for Nurses who have not yet registered and would like to work in a medical environment.
