Most of the times, patients complain that their problem is not understood properly by the doctor. This is due to lack of communication skills.

Doctors are trained to “Grasp the Situation” by systematically observing the work and identifying problems in the different situations and scenarios they find themselves. Treating patients is in essence problem solving; a patient comes with a problem, and a doctor solves it to the best of their ability.

Doctors hear and face some really difficult situations; death and giving bad news, doctors often have to deal with strong emotions daily. Being able to do that day in and day out should make you emotionally resilient.

As a doctor you never truly leave the classroom. New diseases and technology move quickly in the 21st century, so even as highly qualified professional, you’ll need to be up to date and aware of the latest treatment developments and trends.
