It is recognised by various healthcare bodies. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment. Such as working within the UK the exam consists of four different aspects: the listening, reading, writing and speaking exams. But what is so important about this you may ask, well it is recognised as proof of proficiency for registration, study and work in the healthcare sector, as well as for visas in some countries.
This means it enables you to start the process for being a nurse or a doctor within the UK, and you will have the appropriate language skills needed in order to work within the UK. It will most certainly improve your confidence, which will mean you can now communicate effectively to your patients.
