A Midwife's Story at IELTS Medical
Many Midwives over the years have come to us at IELTS Medical and told us that they were struggling to find materials specific for the Midwifery OSCE Exam in comparison to the Adult OSCE Exam.
While we agree that there may not be as many Midwifery-specific materials online, there is definitely no shortage of study material at IELTS Medical.
One of our Midwives, who has been with us since December 2020, booked a CBT course with us and passed the CBT Exam at Pearson Vue centre on her first try!
Just recently, in March she booked an OSCE course with us and passed her OSCE exam at Oxford also on her first try! She is now waiting for her PIN number from the NMC and looking to start work full-time as a Midwife.
Normally, the Test of Competence process can take up to 6 months without the correct preparation, especially for Midwives struggling to find materials, however as seen with many of our Midwives, at IELTS Medical this process can be shortened to just 3 months!

We provide OSCE midwifery courses and study material for OSCE exam takers at our centre in London at 1 Burwood Place, W2 2UT for either 3, 4 or 5 days from 9:00-17:00. Our standard 3-day course consists of:
· Day 1: Documentation
· Day 2: APIE & Skills
· Day 3: Full Midwifery Mock Exam
With a 4- or 5-day course you would be able to book an extra day for either, a second OSCE mock exam or a day to practice with the tutor and a small group.
Each class has up to 8 Midwives and we are aware of Covid-19 and we are taking every measure to ensure your safety.
Our 3-day course is £605, 4-day course is £755 and 5-day course is £819.56.
Most of our Midwives take 4-day courses so that they have an extra day before their exams, if you feel more prepared then a 3-day course would work better, however if you are completely new to OSCE a 5-day course would be better suited.
If you book a 3-day course and decide you would like an extra day to practice or do an extra OSCE mock, this will be £222.
We also provide accommodation around our centre for Midwives who find it difficult to travel every day, this is at £49/a night. Another extra, would be our exam bookings – we can help Midwives book exams by getting in touch with the exam centre of choice and booking a convenient date, this will be £814.
