Keeping calm whilst you are under exam pressure is very essential as it can affect your performance of your exam. Learning how to master keeping calm and relaxed will boost your confidence for your exam and will help you reach your optimum level of performance.

1)SLEEP

One way in which you can help yourself stay calm is by getting plenty of sleep so that you are rejuvenated and you can absorb all the information easier and more effectively. When you haven't had a good night's sleep, everything seems to be worse. As a result of the sequence of not being able to sleep and then feeling worse because you haven't had enough sleep, stress and worry may often cause fatigue. Make sleep a top priority, especially if you're feeling stressed. Early bedtimes and a limit on electronic gadgets in the bedroom are recommended.

2)FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES

A great way would be to focus on the positives rather than the negatives. When you are under a lot of stress and pressure you can tend to think negatively rather than positively which can lead to worse performance. Feeling stressed before an exam and thinking of the worse can lead to anxiety and that is the last thing to want during such an important period, so thinking positively will help a lot. Staying positive allows your brain to avoid stress and stay calm.

3)REVISE IN ADVANCE

Another thing to do would be to start revising in advance in small chunks, this way is more effective and can take a lot of stress away. This way you will be able to feel more secure in your ability to pass the test and will lead to better results. Revising a long way before the exam will allow you to have time to revisit the topics that you are possibly struggling with and improve on those, whereas last-minute cramming will not allow you to do so.

You can control how the exam will turn out, so you can learn to cope with pressurised situations and deal with stress in a healthy way.
