The MRCGP (Membership of Royal College of General Practitioners) is the medical qualification that confirms a doctor can practise as a GP here in the UK. The exam consists of 13 clinical and communication stations between the AKT and the RCA, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MRCGP Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) is a test that only takes place 3 times a year on a computer at various Pearson VUE test centres across the UK. It tests for the knowledge base behind independent general practice in the UK within the context of the NHS. Therefore, if trainee passes, they would have showed that they can apply knowledge at a high enough level for independent practice.
Within the app you can find:

· An AKT Mock Exam
· Access to live webinars
· RCGP tips to help with exam preparation (these are updated every week)
· 4 video courses which will be useful for the exam, which you are meant to watch at different stages of your progress
· A GP consultation manual that can be accessed from the app as a pdf
· A referral platform where you can refer a friend to enrol at IELTS Medical and in exchange you will get prizes such as Lunchtime at the Shard for 2 or lunch at Harrods for 2
