GMC registration is an important first step for any healthcare professional who is seeking UK registration. It is the GMC’s duty to their patients to ensure all doctors are registered with a license to practice, to work within the UK. Through obtaining this license you will be able to prescribe medicine and treat patients. If you hold a license you must also show us your knowledge and skills are up to date through regular checks on your practice, known as revalidation.

 

When looking to get a job within the UK you will need to apply to get GMC registered, the first step to begin this process will be you need to check if you are eligible to partake. Then you are expected to complete an application form and pay a small fee of £150 to then move on to the next step of the process. Which will be providing evidence to the GMC of your documents such as IELTS/OET exams grades or other sufficient qualifications. This will then be finally followed by an identity check this is the final stage of the process, following this will be eligible to practise within the UK.
