Advantages of Group Training

Here at IELTS Medical we offer the option of one to one, or classroom group courses. Most of our Nurses and Midwives that train with us tend to prefer group training as they can interact with other students. There are many advantages of studying in a group, these are:

1.    Increases critical thinking. Group learning is a fundamental part of education, providing students with the opportunity of learning from each other. Larger classes offer students offer a much less isolated learning experience; with a larger pool of peers to collaborate with. This can help students improve their critical thinking skills as well as developing their awareness.

2.    Improves social skills. Group learning helps students improve their social skills as you will be communicating with other students of the same medical profession as you during your training and working together as a team.  This is a very important skill to have especially as a healthcare professional as you will be engaging with patients daily all from different backgrounds meaning that you will have to need good social skills as well as being patient and non-judgemental.

3.    Motivation. Working in a group is likely to increase motivation because working in a classroom and group environment allows you to bounce off each other as well converse your ideas and opinions with other nurses or midwives. Along side this you will be able to discuss your opinions on how you would deal with a particular scenario.

At IELTS medical we offer both one to one and classroom group-based courses. If you are interested in booking a course with us, give us a call on 02036376722 and start your journey.
